For teachers
What do I need to give a lesson?
A computer with an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari) and an internet connection; for online lessons also a microphone, and a camera if you like. There is nothing to install.
How do my pupils join?
They open the class link, or go to class.interactivelessons.nl and type the class code. Then they type their name. They do not need an account or an email address.
Which applets are there?
More than 590 applets for geometry, algebra, functions, fractions, decimals and percentages, trigonometry, calculus and more. You can filter them by school level and curriculum, including the Dutch curriculum.
What is the difference between a classroom lesson and an online lesson?
You choose it per class. In a classroom lesson everybody is in the same room: nobody uses sound or a camera (thirty laptops playing the same sound would echo), pupils follow the applet on their own screen. In an online lesson you and your pupils are at home: everybody joins with sound, and cameras can be turned on.
Can I switch between the applet and the whiteboard?
Yes, with one click. The Whiteboard button above the applet shows the whiteboard to the class, and the applet stays as it is. Back to the applet, next to the whiteboard tabs, brings it back. On the whiteboard you can also open your own PDF.
Can I use it in the classroom, on the digital board?
Yes. Start the lesson on the classroom computer and show it on the board. Pupils follow on their own devices, or simply watch the board.
How many pupils can join?
A classroom lesson: up to 40 pupils. An online lesson: up to 2 with Basic, up to 5 with Small group and up to 10 with Group, more by arrangement. One live lesson at a time per teacher. Up to 30 classes.
For pupils
I typed the code, but it does not work.
Check the code with your teacher: it has six letters and numbers. The letters O, I and L and the numbers 0 and 1 are never used.
The lesson has not started yet. What now?
Keep the page open. You go in by yourself as soon as your teacher starts the lesson.
Technology
Does it work on our school network?
Usually it does. Sound and image can travel over port 443, the same port as ordinary websites. If your school blocks video calls entirely, ask your IT staff to allow live.interactivelessons.nl.
Which devices work?
Laptops, Chromebooks, desktop computers and tablets with an up-to-date browser. Phones work as well, but their screens are small for applets.
Privacy
Which data do you keep about pupils?
Nothing that tells who they are. Pupils have no accounts, the name a pupil types is only used during the lesson, and lessons are not recorded. If you make personal links, we keep the names you typed until you delete them.
Is there a data processing agreement?
Yes. Our data processing agreement is on this site and applies to every subscription. Does your school need a signed copy? Contact us.
Subscription and payment
What is the difference between Basic, Small group and Group?
All subscriptions have all applets and unlimited lessons. They differ in the number of pupils in an online lesson: Basic up to 2, Small group up to 5 and Group up to 10. You can go up at any time; you pay the difference for the rest of the period.
How does the free trial work?
After signing up you have 14 days of full access, without payment details. After that, choose a subscription to keep starting lessons. Your classes and links are kept.
How do I pay?
Online through Mollie, with the methods shown at checkout (such as a credit card or PayPal). The subscription renews by itself every month or year, and you get an invoice by email each time.
Can I stop at any time?
Yes. Stop your subscription on your account page. You can keep using everything until the end of the period you have paid for.
Can my school pay for several teachers?
A school licence is on its way. Contact us and we will make you an offer.
